So Rosa Sparx has gone and got herself a THINKING BLOGGER AWARD and thinks she can now bestow this honour on everyone she knows (thanks hon!). Which makes it really easy for the rest of us to find 5 people to consequently pass the honour on to! But I managed it and still included a Melburnian!
Firstly, I have to give an award to Maia, cause she always comes up with the brilliant feminist analysis that I always want to but don’t have the time nor the attention span to muster…
Next has to be Newtown Ghetto Anger cause not only is there plenty of thinking going on at this blog but it also manages to condense itself into three pane comics! Only wish I was that clever!
Number three goes to my sister Span who seems to be the only blogging womyn that I know of that’s been around as long as me and is still blogging on the same site. And this blog also contains equally on-to-it analysis of things that I always want to write about…
Number four goes to Hammy cause he does heaps of smart stuff taking down the Lobbyocracy and has some weird Chuck Norris thing going on. Hey Hammy hope you saw the Chasers last night. Chuck Norris presenting on Fox! Holy Crap!
Last but certainly not least I give a thinking blogger award to One Tenacious Baby Mama who, in the last days of my pregnancy, inspired the hell out of me and I give some serious credit to for helping Tara’s birth go nice and smoothly.
Now all you folk have to :
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with 5 blogs that make you think;
2. Link to this post so that people can find the exact origin of the meme; (which I haven’t done cause I don’t know where it started..)
3. Optional: Poudly display the “Thinking Blogger Award” with a link to the post that you wrote (there is a silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog);
4. Your chosen blogs cannot have been previously awarded.
And in honour of my newly bestowed thinkiness I have the following exciting news to share with you.
Today I fitted into a pair of pants that I have from before I was pregnant!! Woohoo!!

Wow I just realised that while I read it all the time, I didn’t have a link to Miss Politics!
It must be all the drugs…
Situation remedied. As you were.

I’m not offended that I didn’t get asked to participate in a Blinterview. I’m not really, I promise. Even though I haven’t really got anything better to do with my time. And even though I need more excuses to procrastinate from doing important things like writing serious crap. (Although there is a killer article about to be posted any moment, are you excited!). And even though I’m really happy to be home but am starting to miss some Melbourne people.
I promise I’m not sad about it.
*sniff*

Little known fact: I originally set up this blog because I wanted to get into the habit of writing so I might just maybe start writing better.
Little did I know that I was about to fill a void in the NZ blogosphere by writing about political issues from a Green perspective. Which, at the time, no one else was doing or was better placed to be doing. So after a wee while I noticed that there was a few people not only reading my blog, but continuing to read my blog. So I just kept on writing about what was going on from a Green perspective. But not as much of my writing was as analytical as I would have liked, I just didn’t have time.
Now things have changed. I don’t work there any more. There are other Green blogs. There are other things too but those are the main two.
So I’ve decided that this year I’m going to take some time to get a bit more disciplined in my writing. So consider this me re-enacting a new years resolution from a few years ago. And you can all get excited about seeing me write more! Well, I will anyway… (more…)

May I introduce Insultadarity, a new blog from a friend of mine. So far it’s proving to be exceptionally hilarious, so I recommend you check it out. I particularly recommend the reasons to give up smoking, very good!
I look forward to reading more!

This site has been nominated for a Blog of The Day Award. I have no idea what that is or what the criteria are but I think if you go and make a comment on this site, I might win some cute little button to put on my website. That would be two prizes in a couple of weeks! (I won the work raffle last week!)

But I got a My Space.
Not because I actually want to use it, but I thought I’d explore the world and see if it’s in any way worthwhile.
Wanna be my friend?

Check out Praying Mantis. It's a new green blog. It claims to be "free from the control of any one political party and remembering always that we are a part of Mother Earth." Not quite sure what that's supposed to mean, well I have my suspicions, but I don't really see the point.
Anyway, nice to have another blog free from the control of any one political party and remembering always that we are a part of Mother Earth.

Camp Sovereignty now has it's very own website. It's still under construction apparently, but there's enough there to get a fair idea about what's been going on. And some great photos!
Check it out

How's this for a blogpost title and first paragraph?
On Leaving Islam for Anarchy
I have been meaning to get this off my chest for a long while now. Or more precisely, on my blog. After all, the idea of a muslim turning into an anarchist has to be somewhat interesting for others to read.
I reckon that's pretty damn interesting! And the rest of the blog is worth a look too. I will be reading with interest. Hattip Andy
